The Moon Cycle and You
May 17, 2026
Chodesh tov!
There's so much to say about Rosh Chodesh and cycles. And women and the moon.
So let's get into it.
The connection between woman and the moon begins within creation itself.
Sun and moon. Man and woman. Both equal in greatness.
But then there was a fall. A diminishment.
Which was also, incidentally, the creation of cycles.
Before the moon was diminished, she was meant to shine consistently every day – reflecting the full light of the sun, to the point that there was nothing outwardly distinct about her.
She shone as an exact mirror of the sun. The New Moon was the turning point – and the holidays would be set according to her newly established cycles.
Cycles are both the pain point of exile and diminishment – while simultaneously the very seed of redemption.
(My Redemptress ladies know this well!)
You see, without cycles, there’s no growth.
Without growth, life is stagnant.
Much like an arrow that’s pulled back before it can be propelled forward, true growth comes through diminishment.
Like creation itself came to be through the diminishment (tzimtzum) of Hashem’s infinite light.
Like the void of menstruation making room for new potential.
What does this all mean, practically?
What do I mean when I say the cycle is a map, here to support our greatest healing and expansion?
That attuning to the cyclical rhythm itself will help us feel more balanced and regulated?
Imagine meeting the stormy waves at sea.
There are two ways to interact: either thrash about and feel engulfed by the waves – or become a skilled surfer, balanced by an internal anchor, riding the waves gracefully.
The first way is all stress. The second is knowledge, confidence, and potentially even having great fun while you’re at it.
The internal anchor is your cycle.
Not merely as a biological pattern to track. But as a living connection to the rhythm of creation itself, to the Creator who wove that rhythm inside you and around you.
When you know where you are in your cycle (and how to be with where you're at), the waves stop being chaos.
They become the flow.
They become aligned.
This is the gift of Rosh Chodesh.
And why it was given to women.
Because we embody this cyclical experience as a biological reality.
Whether you have cycles or not, the moon's cycle is always available to you.
You can draw from her.
You can orient yourself through her.
You can let her waxing and waning remind you that you too can access this rhythm, this resourcing, the anchor you have access to within.
The moon began her new cycle today.
Maybe this is your moment too.
Regulate With Your Cycle is a 30 day challenge anchoring you in this rhythm.
To reclaim this cycle, to breathe into the real experience of your body – and discover what she’s here to offer you.
Each day (Monday-Thursday): a short voice note, a grounding practice, a moment to meet yourself exactly where you are.
Thirty days of receiving the support of your own cycle.
So that when the waves come – and they will – you are not swept away.
You are surfing.
Admission is only $33. If you’re ready to receive everything your cycle is here to offer you, this is a no-brainer.
We start May 26. That's only 9 days away.
Can't wait to see you there!!
