The Stuck Places Within (The Truth about Mitzrayim and Redemption)

Feb 05, 2026

It’s annoying.
To hear everyone saying, “Pesach is right around the corner!”

It’s one of the generational traumas I’ve been working to break free from – the Pesach stress.
(Honestly, COVID helped me the most with that one, when all the “extras” neatly fell away. Because why add more stress than we have to?)

But here’s the real reason I’m bringing up Pesach.
Not to stress you out. There are enough ways the world is already doing that – and far be it from me to compete with that.

Quite the opposite, in fact.

What if Pesach approaching can mean something else entirely for the cyclical Jewish woman?

Do you ever wonder why stress can weigh more heavily than freedom in this season?
Why we so acutely feel exile while celebrating redemption?

Something profound shifted in my life when I finally began living in tune with my cycles.

It taught me to hold the fullness of life in my body.
Light and dark.
Joy and heartache.
Expansion and contraction.

Menstruation and ovulation.
Exile and redemption.
Gratitude for what is – and yearning for what is yet to be.

It’s precisely the cycling through both that brings us to the ultimate wholeness. The weaving of fragments to become One.

When we really understand this, we begin to realize…

How could redemption not stir up the ache of exile?
How could freedom not bring us face-to-face with everything that still feels constricted?

The body knows this truth instinctively.

The cycle brings up all the things that clash with our deepest alignment.

The thing that keeps lashing out in your PMS?

What is it really expressing?

A boundary constantly crossed that this phase of the cycle (the premenstrual phase is the ultimate truth-teller) can no longer stand for?

Neglecting your own care?

A decision waiting to be made?

Something that’s no longer working in your life and may require a change?

On Pesach, we celebrate going out of Mitzrayim.

But Mitzrayim is not only a geographic location.

It’s the places inside of us that feel constricted, stuck and unexpressed.

The cycle gives voice to that. Hormones are messengers. What if we listen to the deeper wisdom our body holds? What if herein lies the real key to redemption? An embodied exodus through birthing, cycling, menstruating, ovulating, nursing, and all the feminine expressions we experience.

This is exactly what Redemptress is about.

Learning how to receive redemption – in your body, through your cycle, in real life.

Redemption isn’t only something we wait for.
It’s already coded into the feminine rhythm itself. The rhythm of life. The rhythm of creation. The one moon cycle that Chazal compare to the 6,000 years of the world’s standing.

Pesach reminds us that we left Mitzrayim.
Redemptress teaches the body how to stop living there.

Freedom isn’t just about arriving somewhere.
It’s a process of becoming.

And Redemptress is a space to step into that becoming – consciously, gently, and together.
